Emergency services are on scene after a car crashed into the water at Shelly Bay.
One person is seriously injured after a car crashed into the water at Shark Bay, near Evans Bay in Wellington.
In a statement, police said they were informed of the crash on Shelly Bay Rd at 2.15pm.
One person appears to have serious injuries.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area.
